One of the things I truly love about living in the Lower Mainland is that you can go to work in the morning, go skiing after work, and then, on the way from the mountains, you can order a sushi dinner and have friends over for this. Or you can go skiing in the morning and then come home in the afternoon, prepare a dinner, and have a nice dinner with friends from all over the world. Or you can go to church in the morning, then go skiing, and then go to the airport and give a ride to their new home to a family of new immigrants. Or you can wake up early in the morning, go skiing, come home, have a fine conversation over lunch with your son about Terrence Malick's Days of Heaven, write a blog entry, prepare for classes, and then go teaching at night.
Moreover, what I truly love about the above scenario is that it represents a short journal entry of our long-weekend.
